Humber Minor Ailment Service

Minor Ailments Service – Across Humber Places ONLY
Service Period:
April 2025 to March 2030
This service is available to all residents of the Humber area who meet the eligibility criteria for the service.
Patients accessing the Humber MAS service will need to be registered within the Humber-Wide MAS PharmOutcomes registration platform before consultations can be recorded.
Condition/treatment monographs previously included in local Place MAS services have been removed. Advice and treatment for conditions included in the Humber MAS service must be provided in line with NICE CKS guidance and approved medication formulary. New conditions have been added to the Humber service specification along with an updated medication formulary.
NOTE: Medications must be provided in line with their product licence.

Training:
Read the Service Specification in full and complete the necessary training/CPD to provide the service.
Team members providing this service must be qualified medicines counter assistant or a member of staff who is qualified to NVQ 2 in Pharmaceutical Services. Staff delivering this service must work within NICE CKS guidelines and have an awareness of its content and should also keep their CPD on minor ailments up to date.
Claims:
All claims to be submitted via the pharmoutcomes platform. All payment claims will be submitted via the PharmOutcomes automated mechanism on the 4th day of the month.
