New patient-facing website to promote NHS pharmacy clinical services

Community Pharmacy England have launched a new patient-facing website (communitypharmacy.org.uk) to promote the Pharmacy First, Hypertension Case-Finding, and Pharmacy Contraception Services.

There is a separate page for each of the services, providing patients with information about the individual services and directing them to the NHS website to find a pharmacy that offers the service.

The website can be used by other healthcare providers such as GP practices to provide information on these services and direct patients to pharmacies in England that offer them via the NHS website.

Poster:

Using the information from the website, Humber LPC have created the following poster that pharmacies can use to aid discussions with patients or other healthcare providers, or display in the pharmacy for patients to scan the QR code.

Keeping your NHS UK and DoS profiles up to date:

It is extremely important that pharmacies ensure their NHS UK and DoS profiles are kept up to date so that patients can be directed to nearby pharmacies who provide these services via the Find a pharmacy options.
