Take Home Naloxone (THN) Service PILOT – Hull

A pilot Take Home Naloxone service is available through Needle Exchange site: Allied Pharmacy, 304 Marfleet Lane, Hull, HU9 5AQ – from 1st June 2026.
Following conclusion of the pilot, the service will be analysed for effectiveness with a view to expansion to additional needle exchange sites across Hull.
The aim of the THN service is to increase the availability of Naloxone to relevant persons locally and support greater equity of access.
Improved access to Naloxone will contribute to preventing drug related deaths, by increasing access to an intervention which can save lives and is in line with Hull City Councils Drug Related Incident Preparedness Plan.
The THN service relates to the supply of Prenoxad® pre-filled Naloxone injection kit (2ml) and Naloxone 1.26mg Nasal Spray for lay administration.
This Service is for anyone aged 18 years and above.
Claims:
All claims must be raised through PharmOutcomes.
Naloxone kits and nasal sprays can be ordered FOC through Exchange Supplies.
Training:
All staff involved with service provision must complete a Mandatory training session (organised by Hull CC)
