NHS England funded IP courses 2025/26

Applications are now open for funded independent prescribing (IP) courses for pharmacists in 2025/26, with some universities offering multiple cohort dates.
NHS England fully funds the tuition fees, but community pharmacists (including locums) must meet some minimum criteria to apply. This includes support from an identified designated prescribing practitioner (DPP) and access to an appropriate practice-based learning environment.
Courses are available up to March 2026. Start dates will depend on the university provider.
