Applications for cohort 13 of the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Pharmacy leaders development programme are now open.

Designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the potential to lead at system level, the programme aligns with NHS England’s Leadership and management framework, helping participants to:

• Enhance self-effectiveness through coaching, reflective practice and peer learning
• Build confidence, emotional intelligence and decision-making skills
• Strengthen leadership of people and resources, including navigating challenging conversations and leading teams with clarity and fairness
• Deliver across health and care systems, working confidently across organisational boundaries, translating strategy into action, and contributing to integrated care priorities

Who should apply?
This programme represents a key national investment in developing the next generation of pharmacy leaders capable of contributing to strategic priorities across the NHS and is a key part of the Inclusive pharmacy practice programme, which aims to increase the diversity of senior leaders in the pharmacy profession. It is ideal for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who:
