NHS Flu Vaccination Advanced Service 2018/19 – Now Ended
The national community pharmacy Flu Vaccination Service 2018/19 has now ended. Community pharmacy contractors are therefore reminded not to administer any further vaccinations under this service.
Contractors can claim either via the paper claim form or the online webform provided by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA); contractors should not claim via both routes.
Contractors should use the correct claim form: Community Pharmacy Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Advanced Service claim form (v2) on the NHSBSA website.
Paper claims will be accepted by the NHSBSA within six months of administration of the vaccination, in accordance with the usual Drug Tariff claims process. Later claims will not be processed.
A unique URL to the online webform will be sent to contractors’ shared NHSmail accounts today (1st April 2019). This URL is time-stamped and will expire at midnight on 30th April 2019. The NHSBSA will continue to send URLs on the 1st of the month, until September 2019, to cover the six-month period contractors are still able to claim for.
Each URL will display the month selector, so it would allow contractors to input totals for vaccines administered in the last six months if these had not been previously claimed for.
Digital claims will be accepted by the NHSBSA within six months of administration of the vaccination, in accordance with the usual Drug Tariff claims process. Later claims will not be processed.
NHSBSA will include a short survey on the April 2019 URL to give contractors an opportunity to feed back on the digital flu claim form.
