Local Flu/Covid vaccination training has been organised by the LPC
17th July 2022 9am and 2pm
Hull Mercure Grange Park Hotel
Sunday 17th July 2022 at Hull Mercure Grange Park Hotel
NHSE&I has determined that pharmacists providing the Flu Vaccination Service need to attend face-to-face training for both injection technique and basic life support (including administration of adrenaline) at least every three years; therefore if you fall into this timeline, then we would be happy to see you at our local training event.
The training is available to pharmacists and registered technicians* at a cost of £130 per person.
Two sessions will be held starting at 9am and 2pm, the timing of your session will be selected at random.

*Pharmacy technicians are able to attend any Health Academy immunisation training courses but they and their employer must be aware that in order to administer the vaccination they will need to ensure they are doing so within a legal framework relevant to their position such as a Patient Specific Directions or a National Protocol. Following successful completion of a Health Academy immunisation course the learner will be issued with a certificate confirming this and that the course content and assessment process is in line with the relevant national training standards documents, but the certificate alone does not give the learner the legal right to administer vaccinations. The national guidelines also state that after training a period of supervised practice to allow acquisition and mentor observation of clinical skills and application of knowledge to practice when the practitioner is new to immunisation is strongly recommended.
Once you have booked your place you will receive an invoice, which must be paid prior to the training.
