To mark Breast Cancer month (October), Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is supporting national campaigns to raise awareness about breast cancer and the NHS breast screening service, by offering short 20 minute online breast cancer awareness sessions for all.
Did you know…
- breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
- around 55,000 women are diagnosed each year.
- men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer.
- both trans women and trans men can be affected by breast cancer.
Please come and join one of our online sessions and learn more about;
- the signs and symptoms of breast cancer in men and women
- how to do a breast check
- when is breast cancer screening offered
- what happens at a breast cancer screening
This year we have widened the opportunities for people to join one of our sessions and learn about breast cancer. We are offering the following sessions, so please follow the link to whichever you are most interested in;
