GP Collective Action Feedback
The vote is in and from today, 1st August, every practice in England may start to begin their collective action. We don’t know specifically what each practice is going to do, but we expect something from most, and this is likely to have some impact on community pharmacies:
- It could be delays in Rx getting issued or sorted.
- More requests for Pharmacy First, though maybe fewer online referrals, more verbal.
- More referrals from NHS111.
Feedback request:
The ICS has set up a weekly Collective Action Meeting every Monday to swap intel and work out how to mitigate the patient impact and stress on the health system.
Humber LPC will be representing all of Community Pharmacy within the ICS at this meeting, therefore we would like to gather as much feedback as possible from pharmacies over the period of action.
Please could you spare a minute to complete the feedback form below with any evidence of what’s been going on for your pharmacy, and networks, with examples, what’s been the impact on pharmacy but also the patient stories, what have your GP practices been doing specifically? any clever workarounds? etc… And keep doing it throughout the action. Your information will help the ICS to prioritise support where it can, for patients but also for you!
