Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Community Pharmacy


An Update event has been organised by East Riding of Yorkshire CCG in collaboration with Humber LPC, Hull CCG and the British Heart foundation.

All pharmacies contracted to deliver the Community Pharmacy Blood pressure testing service are invited to attend the forthcoming update event on:

Monday 4th November at The Village hotel Hull.

Buffet available from 6:30pm

7pm start – 9pm finish

At least one representative from each pharmacy is requested to attend the event.

The session will provide an opportunity for you to:

  • Hear how the services is going so far
  • Learn about the successes to date
  • Present your experience and views of the service
  • Explore the barriers to service delivery and engagement
  • Engage in discussion with other service providers and share best practice/new ways of working
  • Revisit resources and explore the future of the service
  • Ask questions and resolve any queries/ concerns
  • Increase your confidence

The purpose of the event is to provide you with the tools and information you need to increase your confidence to engage and deliver this exciting service.

I’m sure you are all aware of the plans to pilot a community pharmacy heart check / hypertension service as part of the community pharmacy contract. If successful this could be rolled out to all community pharmacies in 2021-22. We already have the opportunity to deliver this in advance of a national service!
